First things first, how do other bloggers out there get such delicious looking pictures of oats. I feel like my oats photos always look so unappetizing. Is it my sub-par photo skillz, my crappy camera, what’s the factor? I must know! 🙂
This morning I actually did something different with my usual morning oats – *gasp* I know!
I mixed half a banana, 1T almond butter, some cinnamon, and a (fairly heavy handed) pour of vanilla extract into the oats just before they finished cooking. I topped it with more cinnamon and some almond slices. The flavor was very reminiscent of banana nut bread.
My foot still hurts quite a bit this morning. I stepped with too much weight at the front of my foot and was met with some sharp pain. I’m thinking this is going to hinder my plans for a long, leisurely run this weekend. 🙁 I’m going to take it a day at a time, but I don’t want to mess with it if I actually managed to fracture it or bruise the bone or something. I don’t play around when it comes to my feet. They are much too important. If it still hurts a lot come Monday I’ll go see a doctor.
