Autumn Bucket List

Yesterday morning I realized there’s less than 1 year until I reach the end date of my Mission 101 list.  I also realized there’s no way I’m going to accomplish all the remaining items in the next year.  Some of the items I just don’t think I’ll have the funds to accomplish.  Other items, I’m just not interested in doing anymore.  As much as I love the idea behind Mission 101, 2.75 years is a long time.  It’s hard to predict where you’ll be, who you’ll be, and what your situation will be in 2.75 years.

I was a completely different person 2 years ago.  The things I wanted and expected from my life were entirely different.  Two year ago, I was coming out of a less than stellar relationship and about to embark on a new one that I never saw coming.  (Though, if you ask some of my friends, I was pretty much the only one who didn’t see it coming…) Anyway, the point of this post isn’t about how much I’ve changed in the last two years.

The point is that I’m junking my Mission 101 list…sort of.  I still love the idea behind Mission 101: creating a list of goals and dreams and all those things you want to do but can never seem to find the time for, but rather than applying the 1,001 day time frame on it I’ve decided to convert it to an ever evolving bucket list with mini bucket lists for different time periods along the way.

And I’m kicking it off with an Autumn Bucket List.  Here are a few things I’d like to do before winter rolls around.  I might not get to the all, but I’m going to do my best!

How about you?  Do you have any fall bucket list items?

I don’t have a fall bucket list, but after reading this I may have to come up with one! As much as I get the spirit behind the long-term lists, I really like your short-term one. I like the idea of making a short list of goals I want to accomplish NOW instead of a vague list of stuff I want to do EVENTUALLY.
