What’s Making Me Happy This Week III

I’ve been dropping the ball on my What’s Making Me Happy posts! These are from the last three weeks!

My nosering. I’ve had it since July, but I’m still in love with it.

Gilmore Girls!  I really missed the boat on a lot of 90s TV. I was always at swim practice in the evening so I never watched Gilmore Girls, Friends (which is also now on Netflix so I might watch this one day too), Dawson’s Creek, Felicity… even Buffy, Angel, and Veronica Mars, though they’re now may favorite shows… and truthfully I’ve never felt like I’ve missed out enough to watch most of those shows. On a whim (mostly because I love Lauren Graham on Parenthood) I decided to check out Gilmore Girls now that is on Netflix. OMG! WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO WATCH THIS SHOW?!? I am obsessed.

Season 9 of Supernatural on Netflix We watched Supernatural over the summer, but Netflix only had seasons 1-8. Season 9 was added to Netflix the same week Season 10 started so now we’re all caught up and able to watch the new season as it airs!

Last Friday we went to a pumpkin patch with a couple of friends and their kids. The llama was really working the camera, and the baby goats are just adorable.

Finally finding the pumpkin Chobani! I’ve been searching for the fall seasonal flavors pretty much since they were announced with zero luck actually finding them. This week I finally found it at Target. If I’m being totally honest, I didn’t love it. It wasn’t bad, and I would certainly eat it again. It think maybe the tanginess of the yogurt clashed with the pumpkin spiciness of it all.

Added bonus to finding the Choabni: all of the Chobani was on sale at my Target for $0.75, and the flips were on sale for $1! Needless to say, I stocked up!

My wedding is 43 days away! So far I’m still not feeling terribly stressed out about it, but I do have this feeling I’m forgetting something really important that I can’t seem to shake.


Game of Thrones (the book!) I’ve finally started the series (again). I tried to read it a couple years ago. I started it while on vacation, but didn’t make it more than a handful of pages in before realizing it was not a vacation read. I always intended to borrow it from the library, but I knew it would take a while to get through and dind’t want to worry about late fees or renewals so I kept putting it off. Finally one of my friends loaned me his copy this past weekend. So far, I’m enjoying it.

Tuesday: Apple chicken sausages with roasted baby potatoes
Wednesday: Grilled Shrimp with Corn & Black Bean Quinoa Salad
Thursday: Fish Tacos with Pineapple-Jalapeno Salsa and Refried Beans
Friday: Out for dinner.
Saturday: We have a graduation party to attend so no dinner
Sunday: I’ve got a bridal shower so dinner will be quick and easy.

Tuesday: Morning Run: 4.5 miles
Wednesday: Yoga/ Rest
Thursday: MyFitU Low Body Focus #1 Workout and Spin class
Friday: Morning Run: 25 Minute HIIT
Saturday: MyFitU Pulling Focus #2 Workout
Sunday: Run: 9 miles
