What’s Making Me Happy This Week III

I’ve been dropping the ball on my What’s Making Me Happy posts! These are from the last three weeks!

My nosering. I’ve had it since July, but I’m still in love with it.

Gilmore Girls!  I really missed the boat on a lot of 90s TV. I was always at swim practice in the evening so I never watched Gilmore Girls, Friends (which is also now on Netflix so I might watch this one day too), Dawson’s Creek, Felicity… even Buffy, Angel, and Veronica Mars, though they’re now may favorite shows… and truthfully I’ve never felt like I’ve missed out enough to watch most of those shows. On a whim (mostly because I love Lauren Graham on Parenthood) I decided to check out Gilmore Girls now that is on Netflix. OMG! WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO WATCH THIS SHOW?!? I am obsessed.

Season 9 of Supernatural on Netflix We watched Supernatural over the summer, but Netflix only had seasons 1-8. Season 9 was added to Netflix the same week Season 10 started so now we’re all caught up and able to watch the new season as it airs!

This Llama.

And these baby goats

Last Friday we went to a pumpkin patch with a couple of friends and their kids. The llama was really working the camera, and the baby goats are just adorable.

Finally finding the pumpkin Chobani! I’ve been searching for the fall seasonal flavors pretty much since they were announced with zero luck actually finding them. This week I finally found it at Target. If I’m being totally honest, I didn’t love it. It wasn’t bad, and I would certainly eat it again. It think maybe the tanginess of the yogurt clashed with the pumpkin spiciness of it all.

Added bonus to finding the Choabni: all of the Chobani was on sale at my Target for $0.75, and the flips were on sale for $1! Needless to say, I stocked up!

My wedding is 43 days away! So far I’m still not feeling terribly stressed out about it, but I do have this feeling I’m forgetting something really important that I can’t seem to shake.

Game of Thrones (the book!) I’ve finally started the series (again). I tried to read it a couple years ago. I started it while on vacation, but didn’t make it more than a handful of pages in before realizing it was not a vacation read. I always intended to borrow it from the library, but I knew it would take a while to get through and dind’t want to worry about late fees or renewals so I kept putting it off. Finally one of my friends loaned me his copy this past weekend. So far, I’m enjoying it.

It’s Friday, I’m In Love: I

Happy Friday friends!  Here’s a few things I’ve been loving lately.

Physicians Formula Organic wear 100% Natural Origin Mascara

Back in August or September when the mold count was extremely high and my allergies were particularly bad, I was roaming the aisles of Target on the quest for a new tube of mascara.  Regular old mascara has always stung my eyes a little bit, and when my allergies were bad, the stinging was even worse.  On top of that, the itching and burning allergy eyes had me constantly rubbing my eyes.  Of course this also meant I constantly had mascara flakes in and around my eyes.  I ran across this stuff, and decided to give it a try.  I’m not going to lie; I felt like a complete tool buying organic mascara, but I figured a more natural mascara couldn’t hurt especially with the itching and burning my eyes were experiencing without the added bonus of mascara sting.  Plus the price point of this mascara is about the same as the non-organic stuff so I figured I couldn’t go wrong.

And friends, I definitely did not go wrong with this.  I absolutely love this mascara!  It doesn’t sting or burn my eyes at all.  I think it looks a little more natural/ a little less clumpy than the regular stuff too!  It takes a little longer to dry when you apply it, and it’s definitely more apt to run.  However, it comes off very easily.  I’m seriously obsessed with this mascara and there’s no way I’m going back to the traditional stuff!

Marked (House of Night Book #1)

I really can’t believe I waited so long to pick up this book given my love of supernatural fantasy novels of the young adult variety.  I just started this book, and I’m already in love with the main character Zoey.  She’s smart, sassy, and has a general bad-ass vibe.  She seems like the kind of girl I wanted to be in high school.  Bella Swan she is not.  I definitely foresee myself devouring this series pretty quickly.

Doctor Who

I have a ton of friends who love Doctor Who, and given my penchant for nerdy sci-fi goodness, I should have started watching this show a long time ago.  I finally hopped aboard the TARDIS and was hooked by the second episode.  We’re about half way through season 4, and I love David Tenant as The Doctor.  I already have my DVR recording the current season and can’t wait get to the point where I can watch new episodes when they air and then discuss them with my nerdy Whovian friends!

So tell me, what are you loving right now?
