I haven’t done a weigh in for almost 2 months and quite frankly it’s because I’m just in this stasis where (Sidebar: my first instinct was to say horrible stasis, but honestly, it hasn’t really been that horrible at all.) I’ve been losing the same 2lbs, but I’ve been oddly okay with that. So on to the weigh in.
2013 Starting Weight: 165.6 (Official Weight Watchers Starting Weight was 164.8)

Despite the lack of downward progress on the scale, I’m in a pretty good place. I’m back to meal planning – even if I got kind of lazy about it. I’m also trying a two pretty new and different things.
- I’ve been doing protein smoothies for breakfast. I’ve been using the Body By Vi shake mix which I’ll review more thoroughly in a couple weeks. My friend Jen swears by it, and while I like it, I’m not sure I’m 100% sold on it. I’ve never been a big “diet (or nutrition) shakes” person. I’m a really hard sel on any sort of diet or fitness program, but I have been enjoying the smoothie breakfasts – especially since the humidity lately has been hovering somewhere around 600%.
- I’ve started the MyFitU program which I mentioned last week. So far, I haven’t actually done any of the workouts, but it has gotten me back in the gym and lifting heavy things again so that’s a victory. I’m still working out some bugs on how best to approach the workouts. I was trying to use the app on my iPod at the gym. Sadly, it seems that you need to have WiFi for that to work, and my gym does not. Insert sad face here. It looks like I’ll just have to print the workout for Thursday unless I figure out a better option.
So who knows if either of these things are going to result in actual weight loss, but I’m feeling really good regardless so at least there’s that.
